A Great Timer

I was looking for a simple, free, timer I could use on my Mac for various purposes (cooking, tea, etc.), and Howler fits that purpose perfectly. Set your specific hour/minute/second countdown and hit "Start", and youre set. Its not flashy, it doesnt have loads of superflous features that bog you down, it just does its job.
